Of course another Chinese novel with a panda pet, I can understand the white tiger cuz it’s strong, watch when there’s gonna be a black turtle/ some type of mythical bird and a dragon type pet I would not be surprised. Yes he’s got a good talent from the panda but he could have gotten that from any other pet since every animal is evolving or already evolved, that type of talent of steel bones etc should be very very common. Really don’t understand the aesthetics of pandas looking cute. Yea baby pandas look cute but so does any other animal when they are babies. Adult pandas literally look no different than black and white bears, doesn’t look good at all. And in comparison to other animals even uglier. At least the white tiger is aesthetically pleasing and majestic etc but a lazy bear that is potentially even ugly and that eats tons of food daily? It’s just not worth it no matter what. Only gonna use the panda as a blood bank? At least have one that is not useless and can fight for you instead of being a slob. Hell if you JUST want blood banks there’s better animals. I disagree with the fox family comment as it was very clear to what happened, and at best MC was defending himself, read for yourself to find out. It explains it perfectly well. I previously commented at how I disliked how kurapika kept bugging mc to teach him nen etc and mc was like a babysitter, cuz of mcs love for the characters he read originally he took extra care of them which I found annoying. BUT I was proven wrong because the mc merely pointed them in the right direction to prevent the regrets that happened within the manga without babysitting them. Therefore not only was I happy that I wasn’t reading another boring novel where mc follows the protagonist group throughout the story. He simply let them do their own things whilst mc was doing his own such as exploring the dark continent. It’s very rare for me to finish a novel because in most cases it has excellent beginning and then it gets ruined whether it’s the plot / inconsistencies/ shtty power levelling / bad decision making, annoying mc arrogance etc you name it many that I can go on and on. But I finished this one with enjoyment. When I saw that it had 550 chapters and it’s finished I thought it would be rushed in the end BUT it’s a refreshing plot of conspiracy which actually makes a lot of sense (in my mind) it adds it’s own unique touches and doesn’t just roughly follow the manga. character development was brilliant. Plot was brilliant without plot holes etc Understandable power levels where you can visibly see the progress of mc and it’s not where he gets weak or strong randomly for the plot. Honestly if you’re a hxh fan, you won’t be disappointed at all. Whilst I was watching the original hxh where killua knocked gon unconscious cuz kite asked them to ran away due to Neferpitou being too strong. I really enjoyed how mc mentioned the burden on that killua carried during that time etc which we refreshing. - this is just one example. Another one is melody which was like a Easter egg. Frankly speaking I dislike short novels but this I liked.

The whole thing about how MC is constantly trying to avoid being a potential son in law for that daughter of the duke or whatever is pissing me off, he acts gay in public/ acts arrogant and ignorant/annoying etc etc to her and other people to disgust them to not pick him, it’s just too much of bullsht fillers. Sure he has to “participate” because his family is lower in statue so it would be rude etc etc but theres so many other simple ways of doing so that’s clear cut without any hassle. He could tell a lie to his treacher who is the headmaster of the school and the grandpa of the said girl. Just saying something like he’s only interested in training, or he likes someone etc any other reasons or several etc and his teacher could relay it to her and her family so she’s aware he’s not interested privately in being her partner. It will make it so that the girl didn’t pick him not that he wasn’t interested in the eye of the public but no we have this bs where he keeps making stupid reasons. If he ends up being with her in the end is the moment when I close this book with annoyance

Enjoying it so far. There is definitely plot armours, but it’s enjoyable. His gold finger is also problematic as if, like someone else mentioned he’s using modern stuff like land mines/ grenades etc etc, for anyone else apart from mc, mc is carrying invaluable wealth and knowledge enough for an entire country to chase after him. And regarding how his daily sign in items appear in front of him and he has to be careful etc, can’t he simply make it so they appear inside his space ring? This gold finger is conscious, this is proven when the gold finger mentions how the body strengthening potion having the potential to heal severely wounded individuals whilst he was saving his best friend. Also I really don’t like how spoilt the 3 girls are becoming, specially sanye, the story did mention how she’s greedy and also mc tried to fix her greediness so it’s also acknowledged. It’s still full of dangers for the mc and the family if they reveal secrets due to their ignorance of being spoilt. Sanye literally steals an unknown item next to her sleeping father to play with, not knowing what it is, and mc lightly skims the issue, what if it was dangerous? And mind you the time zone of the story taking place is ooolllld, the males in the family have all the say, like females can’t even eat at the same table as the family leader-husband/dad etc. they have seen so many dead bodies/ women being raped/ eaten etc etc and they still act spoilt and cause minor issues? I would have enjoyed this story better of mc had no family, what burdens really Reading another 20/30 chapters im even more dissatisfied with san ye his youngest daughter and with how much she’s being spoilt, giving a parrot that’s capable of surveillance and communication to her rather than a few chicks in which can keep her occupied and not mess around to her. It’s actually pissing me off, she’s having entire chapters entirely for her- her birthday for example. His cheat gives him a cake, how the fuck did mc get a cake in the middle of nowhere ridiculous.4 stars to 1

Possibly one of the best siheyuan novels out there but I’m just sick of the “make china great” “contribute to china” etc, in this life or past life, dude has been given no care from “his country” just working like anybody else, an average citizen, just a chef in his past life, where is this nationalistic tendencies are coming from? Just brainwashing bs, the country isn’t gonna die just cuz you didn’t do anything nore does the country need you. Mc is doing so much for such little returns just to make china great, okay? I don’t care? I don’t approve of any of his actions were he gives stuff/information/inventions etc for free and what does he get? A couple of yuans extra for his wages and the things he does make his “superiors” get promoted? Why is someone getting promoted for what he did? And they aren’t even grateful, the novel just makes the mc do all that stuff he does without intentions or getting anything back for return just some paperwork saying he’s an advanced individual, some honour that he can’t eat or papers he can’t clean his ass with. Didn’t like his wife either, no originality etc etc but it’s just following the original siheyuan series. He dislikes other novels where mcs are with several women, you have so much wealth whays wrong with expanding your family branches etc it’s not like you can’t afford it with ur cheats. You’re born again and you’re still limiting yourself? Yea this has so many things I don’t like and it’s still up there compared to other siheyuan novels, just boring sht, this sht makes me want to stop any light novels coming out from china

He’s not donating his inventions/skills/ items etc to the country which I like and I’m sick of other siheyuan novels where MC is nationalistic to the point where it sickens you, I don’t need to be brainwashed whilst trying to enjoy a novel. But I still don’t like the way he shares his skills as openly as he does with his villagers, example his churns medicine is like lvl 5 and he’s sharing stuff that’s beyond that era with the villagers - the library where villagers can go and read, if those gets leaked then it’s trouble incoming or he becomes a nationalistic saint where he donates “willingly” since it’s leaked, and he’s tooo good to the villagers, sure he’ll them through and make them rich alongside you but keep the skills etc to the head family aka him/ future kids, it’s not like they can use those medical skills Anyways, his “Chinese medicine” master that he known for like a couple weeks, he shares every medical skill with him, he hasn’t helped the mc for sht, just gave him some convenience that he could have done on his own,if his “master” decides to share the info he read from mc, mc wouldn’t refuse. I don’t like how he gives more than he receives, don’t get me wrong mc is ruthless I like that but he’s not ruthless enough, I get annoyed when ppl come to the village to dictate him on what to do and take that and whatnot, he’s too passive, of course those are my preferences, others might disagree

I enjoyed it, I remember another siheyuan novel that had the same system but that mc has a lot more skills however I REALLY enjoy how ruthless the mc can be here, kill if he doesn’t tolerate it. However I didn’t fancy him being with Ran Qiuye, made me disintegrated, like if I find another novel during a break, I will prob stop this one due to that alone

I always hated the mc being a mage in novels with games etc. dunno why but just find it extremely boring, sure mages have “high” firepower but just weak physically, just doesn’t appeal to me

When I first saw the title I really had high expectations, love this genre, I was expecting something similar to “treasure hunt all over the world”. BUT his system is basically a metal detector which isn’t really a power since money can do the same. Later system updates gives him pets etc but it’s just to assist such as digging etc etc, his powers are underwhelming, his personality is underwhelming, mc goes up a building and he has to hold the handle cuz his legs are weak due to his fear of height. This has like 3k chapters and I assume he’s gonna get filthy rich, he’s in USA, without power he would be lamb to the slaughter, I don’t want to read a story full of plot armour, his personality doesn’t make me think he’s gonna have that fear factor like ye tian. I will just skim through the titles of the chapters and have a glimpse of the story but huge disappointment from the very beginning, maybe he changes later on? I doubt it
