Read 256Ch. #252
Great novel, better than most simulator novels and despite the low chapter number under content and word density easily makes 250 chapters feel like 500. It does suffer from a few plot holes here and there, for instance what miffed me the most was the MC’s ability to pay the simulator energy costs with energy rewarded to him by the simulator. And things like that. Also there’s one guy before me saying the MC is raciest. Please consider them to be insane. So far the novel doesn’t have any elements to trigger racism let alone have it. Unless they’re a furry and they consider killing demonic fox/tiger cultivators to be racist.

This is a down to earth kingdom building novel. The author really takes extreme detail into consideration when they're laying out the tech tree, and they seriously put the MC through the wringer, starting him right from the absolute bottom up. A bit too easy on the uptake though. Yeah, the pacing's slow, gotta admit. And sadly, there aren't any really obvious antagonists, or anything of that sort so far, other than the sort of ethereal threat hanging around from his step-brother. Other than that I suggest that you just ignore the idiots in the comments complaining about the MC using killing as a punishment tactic. Honestly, those bleeding hearts should just stick to the romance genre if they can't handle a bit of necessary roughness. Some people just don't get it.

Mc's a cultivation recluse who'd rather not cultivate, except he's stuck in a repeating loop of "events" like clockwork: Mc cultivates new/improved technique > gets into trouble > trouble's tied to a major disaster that'll destroy the city he fled to > Mc kills minor villain, loots them > Escapes to a new city. RINSE AND REPEAT.

Really went down hill after chapter 40.

Great novel but as it progresses it’s getting taken over by PoV chapters that range from mildly annoying to entertaining. But overall this is a solid novel but a bit too rushed and rough around the edges.
