First off, the main world is not marvel, but just a normal world with no great martial arts or superpowers. Second, bro can pick up super strength from Thor or Hulk, can randomly kill Chitauri soldiers or Extremis Virus users and can't beat some buff trained guy in his own world. Third, there have been hints about his system being used to control him, so if you don't like that trope, it's not for you. Fourth, bro has the weakest character ever towards women.
