The writing and premise are good, but a clear lack of understanding of Hollywood works. Also author didn't do much research into the celebrities in Hollywood, often completely making up details or nitpicking details to make actors/actresses look bad.
The movie has a lot to like, but so many clichés that it ruins the good parts. Like the author keeps trying to make the main character an actor underdog, saying he's not on the same level as great actors, despite him having multiple performances that blow these great actors away and winning multiple Oscars. The most disappointing aspect of the book is the love story that the author builds for like 2000 chapters and ends in the most cliche way possible, with the mc showing up as an object at a fake wedding which she is in. Literally spitting in the reader's face, ruining the book. The best way to describe it is like the last season of game of thrones but 10 times worst.
