This one is okay. It used to be called a different name, ''Wizard: Start from the Potion Master!'', but they changed it to this ''Werewolf Wizard'' title now. I've read about 330 chaps elsewhere and its okay in general. The MC basically creates his own meditation focused on potions thanks to his AI cheat doing calculations. His army originally starts off with werewolves but then starts to create statues/gargoyles and then goes for conquering vampires through force and potion based benefits. He starts to chase their origins after finding some similarity connections and wanting to rule them both etc. It does lose some interest after a while as he just focuses on building armies as a wizard, there is no proper anti-army spell for his self made potion-wizard path. Overall I would just give it a 3.8/5. Nothing special or smart. Just another flawed wizard novel to pass time.
Its a good novel with unique ideas, not the cookie cutter crap from China as per usual. Its basically a story about the abyss, and how it changed the world with its weird influences. People are now trying to go deeper into the abyss and gathering all sorts of powers. The powers all have a costs, and they type of costs and powers are different and weird. MC himself is one of these items, and he is essentially trapped in a cube seemingly as a cost, with powers that allow him to pull things into his cube and even insta-kill living things that enter. As he goes down the floors and learns the do's and don'ts, tragedies and death can still happen at any time, more complex rule level powers can pop-up randomly, and even different life forms/intelligences might be encountered.
Although the story itself is pretty good it does have its flaws. One of which is how MC is constantly a passive audience despite have the power to intervene. There are certain areas that author insisted to happen in a certain way, but it felt forced because realistically MC or someone else could intervene.
But still its good enough to read a refreshing and new world with original and unique ideas used to build it. I've read up to 211 in other sites and am generally still reading. Each chapter is very long and each arc starts of with world building as MC travels down the abyss floors. I would give it a 4/5 rating.
Nothing new, just more repeat cookie cutter planning cultivator. China has a big issue with farming, so these stories are nothing special or original unfortunately. This one as you can see from other reviews is skippable.
A bit slow to start with a generic progress imo, but still enough to somewhat keep me reading. Will update once i've chewed through more chapters. However, the slow speed is a bit annoying so it will not take a priority in reading.
I've read this a while ago, up to 82 (where the free chapters ended on original site.) So far its good enough to read. Surprisingly this wizard isn't starting in a black wizard tower side like most of these cliché novels or a trainee knight lol. He's basically a former player who ended up in the real world version of his game and the cheat was the game board. Its pretty OP in helping him make spells, but he still does what he should as a wizard and conducts many tests and trials.
I'm personally not a fan of the fact he follows a single path as a wizard. I always seem to feel that mages should be all rounded instead of fixed in a single direction. But that's just my opinion so please feel free to ignore it.
The general idea of this novel is for him to utilize his knowledge of the worlds future to survive and benefit. So its as you'd expect, a power trip novel. No romance so far, just some connections with people. His character is hard to write down, but basically he's goal oriented and focused on benefits, even if he takes some losses. He doesn't let his enemies live thus far (ch 82 only so take it with a grain of salt) and he's not too attached to his starting point like most nationalist CN novels. The author does make the story up as he goes, and it is a bit obvious so you'll see more get added at random times as ideas are newly made and introduced lol.
Its not a perfect novel, lots of lore and background of MC missing. But again its an okay read for a magic type novel. At least not a cookie cutter like most Chinese LN out there. 3.8/5.
Although the idea was good at first, it becomes a basic cultivation type novel as time goes on. This doesn't even fit properly due to authors forced introduction and the story premise being spaceships and technology making it an awkward fit.
The other issue is the nationalistic nature of it. To be specific the Chinese guys are all about ''not of my race, not of my heart'' and go for the kill directly. This brainwashing is really bleeding into this novel making it the reason for killing. Even in chapter 178 where there are humans not from their world, this MC still considers them 'Alien' as part of the textbook education of his people. Its really too hypocritical and disgusting. Wasn't MC also a transmigrator? But author still goes in this direction.. So stupid to think in such a way.. 2.6/5.
This was enjoyable for the most part. Ending was rushed and not very well reasoned out, in terms of world lore and logic. Here is some pros and cons which may be spoiler ish.
Pros:
-MC grows powerful with cheat system
-MC has just one die hard love interest (No Harem)
-Scheming and Smart
-Combines magic and science in an interesting way
Cons:
-Cheat system is badly explained at the end
-Enemies are forgiven at the ending regardless of sheer evil deeds done
-MC goes deep in music (some readers might not enjoy so I added it)
-MC plagiarized a LOT of stuff as his own lol
Rating it as 4.6/5
