Novel Summary
"When we climb over this mountain and reach another hilltop, we will see a vermilion temple with a red snake as thick as a water jar. It is coiled there, waiting to see which naughty boy runs around so that it can be eaten..."
In the remote mountains, someone was whispering a story.
At the end, he laughed.
"Isn't that kid afraid that I will come to my door if he spreads the story like this?"
As the voice fell, the sound of metal rubbing against metal suddenly rang out in the silent mountains. The red behemoth disappeared into the deep pool, leaving an old storybook on the shore.
The pages of the storybook were slightly yellowed, and there was a line of words on it that read:
"There is a temple in the South Mountain, where a red fairy sleeps. His eyes are like golden fire, and his body is like red steel. He blows with the wind and rain, illuminating the world. His name is the South Candle."
