Els Lip's first thought upon regaining consciousness was to avoid dying a second time. Since immortality could be achieved through magic in this world, that was his primary goal.

There are many paths to immortality. He doesn't want to be a servant of the gods, a puppet of the dead, or a spirit of the past... He wants to enjoy the pleasures of life as the strongest being, and he wants to become an immortal dragon.

Such a dragon does not exist; he needs to create one for himself, but this path is not easy.
