Not the biggest fan of the premise, but I do genuinely like the characters.
The characters aren't perfect and they feel tropey, but I like that they have depth beyond cute girl, or, serious girl.
Does everything it says on the description.
The characters have no growth in the 70 odd chapters and I kinda don't like how the author tries to portray justice as black and white. I like the decisive nature of the story, but it feels like many side characters are lacking agency and are kinda just there.
I'd like for characters to have philosophical debates on justice, the cost of justice, and the necessity of darkness.
The Mc needs to be punished for their reckless administration of "justice" and the evil people he is punishing need to be more evil and ruthless. Like wtf is the Hokage doing, why does old third care about face so much? Why is he willing to play by the rules instead of killing him when he was weak or declaring him a rouge nin? The story does give reasoning for this, but it's weak and not super clear.
It is a good slice of life story, but it falls off as it focuses too much on the fishing. I wish the characters got more growth or screen time, but Naw, it's just the new catch everyday.
It's a slow novel, not exactly bad, but just slow.
Too generic of China face slapping. I'm ok with the whole premise that a Chinese guy is way ahead of everyone, but they make everyone else useless. Like, this is the Pacific rim universe, and somehow everyone else is useless? A lot of things don't even make sense.
