Extremely racist until about chapter 400-450ish, after that it's decent

One of the most racist novels I've ever read, with classic lines such as "they're all Africans, isn't it normal for them to not have working brains?" "who wouldn't applaud seeing the rogue North Americans suffer?" "if North America had a hero like Shadow, there would be no racial discrimination, because the black skins would be directly eliminated, solving racial discrimination from the root!" ...and many more!
