Good start, but after 80 chapter it seems MC is only there to be there, and it is a loop of describing war and reading battle reports and land grabbing. Also it simplified many innovation like brass and steam engine and building railroads.

It started with Mafia and evading tax, so I think it will probably will be crime and underground business type. Therefore it closed any clean break from mafia. Maybe it was better if he had sold his idea to Mafia boss for a sum of money and acted more like a consultant and used his money to start a legal business. Also I think setting and beginning of story lack enough pull to make readers continue. The confrontation between MC and law enforcement was very early in plot. I personally prefer transmigrated MC who goes industrialist and businessman route, there are many ways that time traveler could make money in plot that tax evading and crime is not worth in comparison.

I read up to 550 chapter, story start is good but mc interaction and plot is lacking. development of tech are weird, he is building steel railroad when road and wagons are enough and he is not even have a steam engine. reason i stopped reading is slow progress in time line after 500 chapter only 2 years have passed in story, and after some time the plot repeat again it is like a endless loop of events.

At first it was new concept and good read and usage of time skip was good to get past initial development phase. But after 300 chapter it become boring. The authors view on private ownership and finance and good society is highly influenced by his country. The personal life of mc after some times disappear. side character are very simple without any depth. sometimes author find some topic and suddenly you face a few page info and analysis of mc opinions on that topic.

Like many other chinese novel obvious racism and description of other nations. Plot and story at the start was acceptable but after 200 chapter it was like a loop. Character and family development disappeared and it was a loop of war peace war.
