It's an ok book. But the MC has a lot of disdain/condescending attitude towards just about everything. The food, the houses, magic, and plot. It gets annoying after while.
Ex: These magic houses look shabby. How could you eat this British food instead of eating superior Chinese food. It wasn't difficult to learn this magic (thanks to my system), what you can't learn it first time like me? Shame, only I have a system.
It happens so frequently it just gets annoying at this point. Ruining the book for me.
The whole sealed memories thing is stupid to me. If they didn't want the MC to remember anything it would've been better let him know nothing from the start. Plus the MC is supposed to be someone that survived surrounded by dark wizards yet he let the Twins sneak into his office and find out his secrets with no consequences. Story is full of things that happen just for the sake of plot ruin established characters personality
Mc isn't the smartest. Spent two years hiding the fact that Voldemort has horcruxes for no reason. Then acts shocked when someone finally steals one. Instantly dropped it there. Plus in 2-3 years of school MC knows no attacks spells. Focuses on control type transfiguration.
It's a decent premise. But the Mc says he wants the avoid the Harry Trio to avoid the butterfly effect but he seems obsessed with Hermione Granger like all Chinese Fanfictions for no good reason at all. Meanwhile he constantly says things like "I'm not here to play house with a bunch of underage kids, I was 30 in my last life, I'm here for magic, not love." The next paragraph he rushes to library to spend time with an 11 year old child.
One of the best HP fanfics on this site.
No Chinese nonsense
No falling in love with underage Hermione
No becoming a god and messing up the power system
Just a good Harry Potter novel
