at first i had a good impression while reading this but after a while it got dull/generic.. also when reading, it reminds me of stoicism (control of emotion and exploration/goals/dreams..etc) tho that might be my projection on the novel (which can be false).. also some descriptions/portraits/storytelling/writing arent that ... dont know how to say it.. it feels ridiculous/delusional at times.. it made me skip whole chapters because its filled with nonsense(even if that nonsense is needed for readers to get attached to characters or growth for the characters themselves).. anyway in the end its a okay novel, it could be better but they nothing is perfect . i say nonsense because the MC has better choices but the author doesnt go that route .. because of loyalty/attachments/ethics the MC needs to go through extra detours also it gets on my nerve when the author writes like 'deskmate' 'classmete' ... bruh .. had bad childhood ? (school days) P.S. if i exclude academy/school parts from the novel then i would give it 4-5 stars .. P.S.2. :D .... my most favorite parts of this book is when the MC sacrifices items for talents.

good novel .. i like all the system notifications :D the only thing i dont like is the generic stuff (face slapping, simping, gushing/adoration..etc.) like when its not MC related (meaning that the POV is not the MC) i skip all the nonsense (sometimes whole chapters are skipped) i quit .. too much patriotism ? like obligation , for humanity , piety..etc. at this point every chinese novel is the same because the authors never stray away from chinese morals/ethics .. and i dont mind it but after reading 200+ novels this kind of stuff is dull as heck .. i would want to blow up humanity just for novelty sake .. who cares if its not moral or evil .. there is like 1 million novels where MC is some hero or saint or patriot or some other crap that needs to protect/sacrifice for the greater good .. ofc there are novels that the MC is selfish and evil but even in those novels , the ending is something like the MC changed for the better and saved some world... sigh.. excuse my rant, i simply had enough in this novel i tried to focus on the good parts and ignore the stuff that gets on my nerve but i just cant.. chinese factory setting .. 90% of the novels are the same (including this one) P.S. reading what ive written .. it sound like im racist but thats not really the case, idc in general.. its just stuff like this get on my nerve where the characters have no individuality and they are allways written towards chinese custom/culture/ethics .. for example obligations, filial piety, respect, honor, boasting..etc. like every chinese novel ive read is exactly the same Edit: also the mentality towards females and harems .. like BRUH .. meaning how events are described when female are involved/introduced are simply ......... no comment

chūnibyō too much ??? like sure the MC is in school but not f**king eight grade ... and all the envy, hate, boasting ... soo childish ... like some characters mentality is that of an kindergarten.. also 5 females ware introduced by chapters 55 .. like bruh... before someone complains about my review .. if a game can make money then its no longer a game .. its an avenue where people can thrive ... meaning people need mature mindset while playing that game .. while this.... idk what im reading

i wanna smash something while reading this... all this filial piety, obligations, affections..etc. is just soo nonsensical (even delusional to a degree) tho i guess that is the norm in chinise society/ethics.. also i dont like how the MC is forced into things (and he tolerates it because of etiquette) P.S. chapter 93-97 is being dramatic for no reason (hype/atmosphere? bunch of nonsense imo) if i was the MC.. i would smack them.. sure the parents would be traumatized over the event but CMON who has the patience to deal with their antics.. it has already happened, no need to make it sound so serious.. lmao Edit: also the MC is too naive for being criminal police officer in his past life.. im talking about mentality and suspicion towards things (for example suspicions towards his parents) also i was thinking .. what would happen if a person didnt participate in that 'hair-tying ceremony' and was never marked. also i dont like the stuff about the debts and favors .. like some one is doing their job and the MC is soo touched/guilty that they feel indebted .. like BRUH

good start up to the end of the first book.. after that its the same old stuff .. steal females and opportunities and the protagonists in those books never use their brain (ignoring red flags) P.S. why do people allways focus on females soo much... at this point every time i read novel and the author writes (interduces/describes) about a female .. it feels like im reading about some object that has no other purpose that to be a vase to the MC

too much nonsense/long winded.. focused on family affection/feelings.. too vein aswell(superficial).. also the events described are too silly im my opinion (no suspense(generic) because it feels childish).. also at the beginning of the novel its funny how the author wrote the MC as this "detached mindset" and then acts the opposite.. in general the etiquette and ethics make reading this dull for me i give it a second chance (read extra 100 chapters) but i cant continue reading..

nice novel .. the only thing i can complain about is how the MC collects females from others .. at one point i was wondering if the author was writing about NTR :D but besides that, its a good novel (i can grumble about other stuff but thats because of my preference, for example the MC could have gotten more stuff from his system before he stop using it all together)

FINALY a novel that is out of the norm .. a novel where the MC is not surrounded by females and is not obligated to sacrifice for others benefit based on morality/ethics.. P.S. the only thing i didnt like is the generic ending of the MC (usual ending/actions)

good novel .. the only thing i dont like is (as allways) how the girls fall for/chase the MC .. ofc its normal to grow feelings but its dull to read about ambiguity/flirting/romance/drama..etc. for example even if the novel doesnt have harem tag.. all novels have characters of the opposite sex simping over the MC (yes including this one .. so far its 4-5 females) .. P.S. everything was good up to augustus death .. after that it was just drama that could be simplified but it wasnt P.S.S. there was alot of hints and clues so i could figure out alot up to chapter 400 .. everything after that was dull because the MC ignores them (doesnt think towards that direction) .. for example the moment the pearls (that drop from abyss church) got introduced .. my mind spun and figured out many things.. but the author writes the MC like he is clueless for some things that should be a fact (im saying this because it feels like 'Qingkong' is manipulating/grooming the MC and it just give me weird vibes because the MC should be aware (about alot of information(the information should be learned by the events the MC goes trough.. im not assuming the MC should have readers view) that is ignored/overlooked) but the author doesnt write that..) also where is the player mentality ??? thats also something im wondering about alot (its the train of thought/understanding when it comes to events) also the ending was kinda rushed/anticlimactic .. like there was alot of foreshadowing and hype for this civilization war .. but in the end ? ... meh
