The novel tries to be Historically accurate, but takes interesting potrayal towards nobles and woes of Rulers. How a king, if not having the opportunity cannot change the system. BUT its filled with trashy chinese bootlicking. And it starts in 24th chapter, I think this will another novel with ruling French King all but bending knee to China and killing Japan. After that he starts his tirade against western royalties. How queen can never be a mother and a mistress is better than mother. The MC has no wisdom
What is more saddening the MC of novel is not chinese but a French of chinese origin. Even then he thinks himself has chinese not French. You westerns should consider of they can truly be you citizens.
