In addition to what cosmic said, there is a lot of info dumping and a lot of rehashed information over and over again. There were at least 5 instances that describe in excruciating detail what a bullet does to an orc's/troll's/ogre's flesh as it passes through. And the author writes poorly explained timeskips for long periods of the MCs life but they have to write in detail 47 different skirmishes with trolls and orcs that all play out the same way. Highly padded novel, 3/10 would not recommend
Pretty typical, but my main gripe is it's 300 chapters in and the story has only moved forwards around one month. It has some funny moments, but overall the pacing is just very subpar.
My take 150 chapters in.
Pros:
Immersive world
Vibrant characters with personality
More organic and less rushed progress
Cons:
Glacial pacing
Holding back the MCs growth
Strange decision making
I guess to write a 10k chapter story though, you have to write like this. Not a bad story per se, just far slower than most web novel fare, and that's both a good and bad thing. I'm torn between a 3 and a 4
I must be reading a completely different story to everyone else, as what I've read so far is a decent story about a guy creating a system from scratch, not needlessly hiding in the background, and not making up all sorts of lies to cover his ass. I haven't seen any interactions between mc and women that were overly detailed, and definitely no turbo simping. The guy from another story thing was kinda abrupt, but so far it has very little bearing on what's going on.
Flawed but worth a read. The panel is basically used as a gimmick for justifying not expanding on the source of the main characters abilities, and not some overly important part of the story. Also the ending is rushed, and too much time is spent conquering an ancient world and then conquering another one in basically the same way... The author didn't expand on the concept of becoming the will of the world later on, and he basically forgets he wrote it it seems. Still better than most novels I've read/tried to read.
