Honestly, this novel is quite good. The story concept is interesting, with a consistent plot from the beginning up to this point. The main character is also stable and develops naturally, especially in terms of his core values. Personally, I really like how the MC always prioritizes his family—something that's rarely emphasized in similar novels.
However, there are some downsides that affect the reading experience. There's too much "filler" in the story—parts that feel dragged out and don't really contribute to the main plot. For example, the explanation about the inheritance the MC receives is repeated excessively. Likewise, the testing of the soul ring limits takes up too much space with technical descriptions that could’ve been simplified. And there are still many more parts like that—you'll notice them as you read.
This story stands out with its fast-paced yet engaging plot. The main character shows decisiveness when dealing with enemies, a refreshing change from the usual double standards often found in typical Chinese novels—especially regarding beautiful female characters. The protagonist's cheat abilities are well-balanced: strong enough to be impactful, but not so overpowered that they disrupt the storyline. Additionally, it's worth noting that the MC is not driven by lust, which is a common flaw in many Chinese web novel protagonists. This thoughtful characterization adds depth to the narrative. However, I personally only enjoyed the 'Battle Through the Heavens' arc.
