It’s a fresh take that keeps the pirate world feeling formidable throughout the narrative. What really stands out is how the MC slowly and methodically works to undermine the World Government. His plans are detailed and long-term, showing a level of patience and cunning that you don’t often see in overpowered protagonists.

Why is the rating so low? This fanfic is actually quite good! The Fairy Tail characters stay true to their personalities, and the story manages to retain the spirit of the anime throughout its 170+ chapters so far. The original character (MC) is well-balanced—not overpowered, but strong enough to take on villains with a fair amount of struggle, which keeps the fights interesting instead of relying from the usual ‘nakama plot armor’ that helps Natsu and his team beat enemies that are way beyond their league. Another refreshing aspect is the portrayal of female characters. They aren’t all immediately infatuated with the MC; only one has developed romantic feelings for him so far.
