Maybe I shouldn’t have read this novel. The synopsis did give a warning, so that part is on me — I jumped in because of the high ratings and the promise of “no nationalism or racism.”
But I really dislike stories that involve rape or anything close to coercion. I can’t see how forcing or gaslighting a teenage girl — especially by someone with a mentally mature mind — can ever be framed as acceptable. And please don’t argue “it wasn’t rape” just because she eventually agreed. If you wouldn’t tolerate your sister, mother, or girlfriend being treated that way, then it’s not okay here either. Saying “it’s just fiction” doesn’t help; fiction often reveals the darker instincts people excuse in themselves.
Yes, readers are free to give high ratings — and I have the same freedom to judge based on my own preferences. Just like some people give 1-star ratings to harem novels for simply being harems, I can rate this low because coercive romance is something I absolutely won’t tolerate.
**If you are offended or going curse because of the review, i can only say..........."bite me😼"**
☣️Я дочитал до главы 68 и вот что понял☣️:
- Комментарии от AnnoyedSai(он просто перечислил события и ничего не анализировал) и User-11908c05(его мнение) выдуманные из пустого места, ибо они не читают роман полностью и не вздумаются в прочитаное.
Very good novel with a solid concept and immersive storytelling. One of its biggest strengths is the surprisingly realistic character design. I especially appreciated how the MC is an ordinary man, not unrealistically handsome or absurdly OP like the “legendary immortal” leads found in 90% of Chinese novels. He has a fear of height. He doesn’t always succeed, and some of his teammates even die, which makes the struggle feel real rather than a one-sided power fantasy. The dungeon mission arcs are well designed and consistently engaging.
That said, the MC is honestly a bit kinder than necessary. Early on, his kindness and indecisiveness made sense—he isn’t used to being ruthless, which fits his background and makes him feel grounded and human. I’ve grown tired of Chinese MCs who start out completely indifferent and kill people at the drop of a hat; it makes you wonder what kind of life they even lived in their og world. So this was a refreshing change.
However, after 60+ chapters, my opinion started to shift. The MC remains a pushover, especially in the ordinary world. He exposes his powers to save random strangers without real necessity, agrees to work as a bodyguard for a second time at his boss’s request. And then lets the second girl drag him into dangerous situations—again, without meaningful resistance. He already has enough money, so why take unnecessary risks? These decisions don’t feel justified and only result in everyone walking all over him. Instead of growth, it starts to feel like stagnation.
At this point, what initially felt like kindness and inexperience becomes irritating. The lack of firm boundaries and meaningful pushback undermines an otherwise strong premise.
The most annoying part is the MC simping for Ye Yun for no real reason. He already has Hanamori—his first teammate, with whom he shares a genuine emotional bond and who clearly loves him—yet he fawns over Ye Yun (fml), who doesn’t seem to care about him nearly as much.
Still, despite these flaws, it remains a very good novel overall.
The novel delivers what it promises. However, it takes time before the MC kills the Sons of Destiny, so readers with little patience may not like it. Some people want everything to be steamrolled without obstacles, which I personally find boring—if the opponents aren’t strong, how can the MC’s strength be demonstrated?
The novel falls into the harem–action category. Cultivation progression is moderate. The world-building is confusing at first but becomes clearer later. Of course, it’s not a perfect novel.
Note: It’s fine to upgrade your wife’s luck to red, but why can’t the MC copy that luck entry for himself as well? He could really use more luck. Also, the system becomes increasingly irrelevant as the story progresses. There were many entries introduced early on, but very few are actually explored—mainly the Innate Dao Fetus, Divine Elephant Suppressing Strength, and Heaven-Swallowing Technique. If the MC had obtained these from external opportunities instead of the system, the story wouldn’t have changed much at all.
One thing i like therw is no racial prejudice.
I didn’t like it. Bland and Boring, it’s never late to read a novel if it really is good.
Bot Reviews. Raising expectations.
You could actually tell Just by looking at the Comments, couple of accounts are supper active to write long reviews and instant replies to low rated comments. Like Their life depended on this review section.
Cliche start with "F-Rank" talent and a cowardly protagonist that doesn't dare to speak up about getting an inaccurate label.
So, what we get is just a typical insult-sponge that lets everyone talk shit about him.
His friends are super nice, wanting to help him despite him being "trash". As per Chinese culture, he rewards them by also lying to them about his actual talent rating.
As for strength, it'll probably change later, but as of now, he's weak as shit. Even against F-Rank trash with a lower cultivation than him, he still struggles and can't even take them down in 1 hit.
This is mainly because he can't use the power of his talent. Excessive use of his talent will supposedly hinder its growth. That is how the author keeps him weak.
What even is this trash. At least it's accurate to the rules of ratings. The higher the average rating, the more trash the protagonist is.
It's not peak fiction but pretty good for multiverse fic with a hint of tech. It's already quite good and not that braindead. Though this is an old fic that i recommended so beware that there are some inconsistencies with og manga/anime
It is good for now but the becoming Enemies with 7 Treasure set feels forced but logical I don't know what to say let's take a look after more chapters come
Why are there so many jokes in this story? At first, the story seems mysterious, with a naive but cautious main character. But as time goes on, the sense of mystery fades, replaced by lots of jokes and unnecessary interactions.
