Don't listen to lucius Tang Hao has always been an asshole otherwise he wouldn't treat Tang san how he does before he awakens his clear sky hammer. Tang San has also always been a hypocrite whos first thought is to murder whoever stands in his way/ he doesn't like. What sort of normal well adjusted individual would split his daughters soul in two and use it to control the child of destiny of doulou continent, Tang san does that shit after becoming a God king. The story claims Vegapunk raided Doflamingo’s SMILEs—but canonically, Vegapunk created the artificial Devil Fruit first, and Caesar later used his research to make SMILEs. Twisting this just to force “MC vs Doflamingo” drama is annoying.

The bigger problem is how the author manufactures chaos and breaks basic logic. Why does the MC need to go to Water 7 for ship repairs, or insist on Franky building it personally? Technical divisions or proper channels could handle this. CP9 acting shocked or fighting over it is absurd—canonically, they spent years on that island without incident.

And don’t get me started on Ace—MC “knowing” him and then going around bragging about it is cringe. How long is he gonna take to heal? Weeks have passed since Kaido beat him, yet he can’t fight a rookie? In this world, characters literally heal in hours. It’s one thing to create story-driven chaos; it’s another to ignore logic entirely, and this story does the latter nonstop.

The serie is imposing alot of things against mc, mc is like a lucky fool to survive and get items by plot armor. mc isnt cautious type, he like to mingle with every thing he see. Usually when mc from other books know they would get skills and talents just by leveling up, they would try to be low key and cultivate silently, but this mc is fighting everyone he sees to death, even when he is running away or hiding under fake name , he involve himself in more mess,that is so dumb... even after foundation establishment he choose to jump up and down for some incomplete manual while declining other people so these people target him and mc fight again instead of cultivating, is your blade give extra exp for killing enemies? did your slipper give more agility for jumping up and down? author should rename the novel plot armor and killing everything he sees instead of immortality and cultivation. 404 Error Cultivation not found. As of chapter 62, very good.

The writing is steady and logical, the MC is realistic, acting within his means. This is the first time I've seen Shrek Academy fleshed out before Tang San's arrival, and we even get to see some of the seniors who graduated beforehand.

So far, the characters and their actions are in line with the novel, not deliberately twisted into arrogance or retardation to make the MC seem righteous.

As for someone complaining about being a 'dog of Shrek', who else would he be a 'dog' of?

With a common iron spear spirit, no cheat, and an ordinary background, the MC's main course of action is hard work. His small cheat is whale glue, but it's finally written in a rather realistic way, both in effect and for the MC's mean to obtain it. Born to a family in Souto City, Shrek is definitely the best choice for joining, because:

A) he doesn't have any actual conflict with Shrek, Grandmaster, or Tang San, nor does the author seem dead set on manufacturing such a conflict. There's no conflict of interest either. Only retarded Chinese MC's with hate boners will go looking for trouble and make enemies where there are none. This MC isn't one of them.

B) Joining Spirit Hall or Heaven Dou Academy without nobility, without a cheat, or knowledge wouldn't necessarily bring him any benefits. After all, hard work is cheap, and it's not necessary that he'd get any 'good nurturing' without connections with his level of talent.

C) In Shrek, he immediately received a good cultivation technique, direct guidance in combat in his spear, and most importantly, there's the obvious chance for godhood. If anything, this author fleshed out Shrek academy in a more reasonable and better way than the original one.

If I must have a nitpick, it'd be the feeling that the initial Shrek Academy arc dragged on for too long, but it wasn't 'bad', merely it got stale.

Aside from all the weird shit, even if the author tries to tell you to treat the story as lighthearted fun, the author himself doesn't make it into a lighthearted fun, he instead tries to write it as awkwardly as possible when it pertains to the MC interacting with female characters, and then he makes it as heaviest as possible by inserting real world world politics into random ass lines just everywhere sprinkled here and there, popping out of nowhere, unnecessarily.

And aside from this, the MC has a personality that makes it impossible to treat the story as lighthearted fun, because he himself treats everything too seriously, even when he is up to mischief, there's always a sense of a greater goal or some kind of hidden agenda, it just changes things and makes it seem more complicated than it is, making someone reading those lines overthink. Un enjoyable.
