i really dont get those genius trash gaowu tropes, like WHAT THE FUCK IS COOL ABOUT BEING CALLED GENIUS? YOU'RE STILL SOME TRASH YOUNG SCHOOL MINION, ANY SLIGHT OLDER TEACHER OR ANYTHING CAN JUST SLAP YOUR PRIDE OUT OF REALITY... wth
i had a whole comparison written, but disappeared bc the site reloaded out of nothing... so now im just going to resume.
even though i didnt read more than 17ch, the whole trope and summary shows how it will be (look at the latter chs, there are ARENAS for STUDENTS fighting 7th level something realm) if you take in consideration than the PE teacher is a 3rd lvl. the big shots on this world view would be at least 5lvl. then you come to me and say: yeah, 7,8 and 9th lvl are powerhouses, but noo those students who also are in those levels arent powerhouses, look they need to do some exam, tournaments and arena fights. while all their Professors are weaker than them.. dont mind the worldview... if anyone didnt understand, because even i didnt:
this world is like, youngsters reaching nascent soul, void refining, etc. but still being some inner sect disciple, doing tasks, exams etc.. while all their teachers were still golden cores... do u see the bullshit now? whats the point of the mc upgrading all his powers and all when all it ends in being stronger than some other student, its a perpetual young novel. the mc will never grow up to be above the system/leaders
Average story because author reduced the MC's IQ in the middle stages like he completely forgot that he was a transmigrator and acting like some 3rd rate villain.
Next, I don't why people fawn over Xiao Yan like fan boys, this is a fan fiction for a reason so why give a 1 star rating just for the MC not licking Xiao Yan's shoes....
This is pretty good. MC is reincarnated as the villain and has lived knowing this for his childhood. But that hasn't stopped him from cultivating a good relationship with his fellow disciples which is where the main difference between him and the villain in plot comes in. He is inherently a good person and while he is a bit lustful, the heroines are even more so and that balances it out. He has a system that rewards him for "following the plot" and "being a villain". The interpretation of this initially is that he has to follow the plot but it in current chapter(ch23) he has started to realize that maybe something else is also possible and he might not have to be a bad person to be a villain. We'll see how this goes but it is definitely not just MC following the plot and heroine having some cheat due to which they fall for him. This is an organic romance due to years of companionship and care which just sees this current plot as a hurdle to overcome. Feels very refreshing compared to other stories of its genre where the MC is always the one with the initiative, this time it is just him being a good person and being caring to his peers that earns him the admiration. Other than that this looks like standard villain harem cultivation story, with a slightly naive MC, a delusional "son of luck" and heroines and side characters who seem to act irrationally and care for a "villain" instead of the "hero" but actually have their own thought and reasons and are not bound to the plot as the MC thinks.
Update at ch112: Not an eunuch MC. He actually has actual progress with the heroines which is cool. And he is kind to most people. Very nice. I will probably stick with this till the end.

A bold, brainy subversion of the cultivation genre. Loved for its originality, but divisive for its tone and gender dynamics. Not for everyone—but unforgettable for the right reader.

For me protagonist is a slave of wang lin and a dog sticking plaster who is plasted over wang lin a lipstic who can't do anything expect licking wang lin a worthless runt who can't do anything else beside dog licking wang lin a slave, garbage protagonist and whole book
Pretty good. This is the third one for me with this kind of similar premise. Other 2 have been added to recommendations.
So MC gets a "simulator" and it helps him simulate "virtual" lives in which he will help one heroine grow into a powerful character. As is the norm in this kind of novels, he will eventually die which will cause the heroine to become a Yandere and then they gain memories of the "Simulation" and come find him. MC: *surprised pikachu face*
If you have read other novels of this kind then this is very very similar. Nothing new in the general execution. Where this diverges is that from looks of it, his "system" is actually helping him regain memories of his actions, and the past is already set in stone, which means that whether he interacts with his system or not, the things that he will simulate have already happened and the actions in the system cannot be change.
The harem is also not too big from looks of it. The heroines have their own "temaplate" but since all are Yandere, the personality while varied, overlaps quite a lot.
This really spins the story into a different narrative. Until my current chapter, things are slowly opening up and story is interesting over all. I recommend to people who either like this kind of novel or have never read something similar to give it a go.
Bad bro leaching the original mc wtf is this trash concept if it was just intelligence upgrade at all time it would be best he can't cultivate without helping wang lin wtf is this trash setting so for me it's trash always leaching off wang lin
MC is good but not that powerful, the martial spirit is also good but its powers got nerfed from the start
This novel is objectively terrible. Also very repetitive.
But you pretty much know exactly what you're getting into with the title and the fact it's 4000 chapters.
Anyway, I'm callin it at ~1100 chapters cause he returned to an old realm and EVEN STRONGER PEOPLE ARE WAKING UP. Just send him somewhere else smh.
Anyway, fun enough novel if you don't like it in the first 30 chapters you won't like it.
