Pretty good. MC accidently sleeps with his SIL who had come to try to mend the relationship between him and his girlfriend. This makes their relationship which was pretty good turn a bit awkward. This is where many people might have difficulty in continuing the story. The early 20 or so chapters are in this awkward stage where the SIL is angry and tries to get back at the MC by being a bit of a btch and the MC lets her vent. Things slowly get better once the anger passes and the SIL actually starts trying to get closer to the MC due to her having had a crush on him for a while. MC naturally wants none of it and is trying to get away. Thats what happens till ch46. So things are looking interesting and the ex hasnt made her move yet but the setup is there. She isnt a bad person or someone who looks down on or has issues with the MC so the reason for their breakup will definitely have some drama before being revealed. Need to see how this goes but initial impression is positive.

Trash novel.

The MC is shown as transmigrated but keeps showing a naive and crybaby mindset when facing his system and disciple.

The female disciple is an ingrate—a ruthless empress type who backstabbed her master once before rebirth. She immediately tries to sever ties with the MC after rebirth, even after seeing that he tried to sacrifice his life to save his backstabbing bitch disciple before her rebirth. Only after realizing she can hear his mind's voice (or inner voice) does she stay. Even then, she only stays after confirming there were benefits; otherwise, the bitch would have backstabbed him even after knowing the real melodramatic story through that inner voice shit.

The MC's system is also a shit product. It keeps throwing electrical whips straight at the MC's soul, saying dogshit like he stepped inside with his left foot instead of his right in front of his disciple, frying him in an electrical net at every given chance.

The rewards for completing system tasks are also tailored to his disciple. For example, the immortal technique he got from the system has usage conditions like "16 years old, virgin, female, cold-hearted pussy disciple," and so on. Meanwhile, his reward is a partial growth technique with impossible growth conditions for a weak ass.

Finally, the system is a stingy, neurotic bitch who should have gone first to lick that icy pussy-bone disciple rather than sticking with the naive, pathetic MC.

The author is also a talented person just like his icy disciple, showing flashbacks like a history line and expecting readers to imagine character feelings as if we know everything. He types out a few tragic stereotypes without fleshing out the background. Do they expect us to PUA ourselves into liking a backstabbing bitch just because he portrays her as a well-known "icy pussy bone" trope ?

Honestly, it’s not a bad novel. However, it strongly clashes with my personal taste and triggers a lot of my insecurities. Because of that, I’d like to warn readers who might feel the same way (no offense to those who enjoyed it).

There is a heavy focus on promiscuity. Almost every potential heroine is a dual cultivator—and if you know what that implies, you’ll understand the issue. They are neither virgins nor emotionally exclusive, often with very high body counts. The MC himself is similar in this regard.

Promiscuity, open-style relationships, and casual dual cultivation are simply not for me, so I couldn’t enjoy the story despite its other merits.

Also, karma is a thing in Cultivation, there is a reason why promiscuity is regarded as unorthodox method.

Notice how most of those who gave low stars didn't even finish 50 chapters...

All notes aside, this is one of the best cultivation novels I have ever read. VERY underrated and the MC is likeable too. Despite being cautious, he still retains his emotions and acts like an actual human being. And don't worry, he remains cautious no matter how strong he gets.

And the sect he joined is one of the best I have ever seen with everyone getting along in harmony. No random arrogant elder. No random young master or anything. From the sect master down to the normal disciples, they all get along very well.

Also, chapter 425 is peak. No spoilers tho.

Wtf is even this novel. From synopsis to novel, it's just a random chinese hatred for Indian people. I always forget how xenophobic these chinese authors are but they sure keep up to remind me that.

As for novel itself, it's Basically a chinese dude who is cool and everyone around him is lower grade than him sort of vibe. Story is whatever author wants to make main character cool.

I really, really, really enjoyed this. The personalities of both the MC and the heroine are totally my type.

Yun Qing is mature and knows exactly what to do to win Lu Yao’s heart. He’s thoughtful and considerate in everything he does, understands how to treat her, and slowly, little by little, makes his way into her heart.

As for Lu Yao, she’s a mature and rational woman on the outside, but deep down she has a childish, clingy, and spoiled side that she only shows to Yun Qing. Once they officially start dating, she even enters what Yun Qing calls “Night Light Mode”, extremely sweet and clingy.

Coming from a broken home, she’s deeply pessimistic about love, and growing up without enough affection made her long for a place she can truly call “home”. In the end, Lu Yao finally finds that “home”, a place where she can rest, be herself without holding back, and receive love. She also gains someone who truly loves her, protects her, and pampers her.

The romance is also written really well. It takes over 300 chapters for their relationship to become official, making it a true slow burn. Even though it takes a long time, the romance before they get together is just as sweet as when they finally start dating.

I highly recommend this to fellow daoist friends who love slow-burn romance. Don't worry, even though it's a slow burn, the story stays sweet long before Yun Qing and Lu Yao officially become a couple.

This is a genuinely good novel about Greek mythology. What makes it stand out is that it focuses heavily on the age of creation and the early days of the gods. Instead of starting after Zeus’s rule is already established and stable, the story begins with the origin of the world itself and the transition between the reigns of Uranus, Cronus, and Zeus.

It is one of the few novels in this genre that actually goes into detail about the war between Cronus and Zeus, from the moment Zeus first starts planning to overthrow his father to the process of building his own divine kingdom. Most novels just summarize these events in a few lines, but this one actually tells the story properly. The author also handles the plot in a pretty satisfying and clever way, and even creates some original gods of his own. Because of that, the usual predictability of this genre is reduced quite a bit, which is another plus.

On top of that, this novel is basically a harem wish fulfillment/power fantasy novel. As someone who enjoys harem novels and is also really into Greek mythology, this combination feels almost perfect to me. It is also fairly lighthearted, making it very suitable as a fun and relaxing read.

The only real downside is the author’s writing style. He writes in a very flowery and epic tone, which can feel strange at times. There is also a lot of unnecessary and overly long description that does not really matter, so if you are not used to this style, reading can feel tiring and the pacing of the novel slows down noticeably.

Overall, if you are looking for a novel focused on creation myths, this is definitely one you should give a try.

Nah, this novel is not my cup of tea. I'm sick of underdog novel style. Jack of all trade, gain power on many spells and skills, but his cultivation level sucks. On top of that his system seems to not be able to overcome QI stage to fundation building stage. MC has to seeks his own cultivation method to break through fundation stage. Why can't MC be powerful for once? Why have to be a low level cultivation level but with the bless of all skills to overcome the higher level cultivator? This style is getting very very old. Reading MC grinding his practice to gain a little here and there, got all kind of support skills to the max level, but can't get his own cultivation level to the upper class, have to grind it slowly, boring. See many of this style, a slow progress kind of style, it would've work well if the system not involved. System suppose to help MC fast track his cultivation, but no no no no, he still a low level stuff. I mean in this novel MC progress might not been slow, but the way how the writer wrote it make it seem like MC cultivation level progress at a turtle pace. Sucks. I lost my interest in this novel and this slow progress, underdog novel style, sick of it, very boring.

It's a bit of a heavy read, mainly because it's a post-apocalyptic story. There is nationalism, yes, but mostly because the protagonist prefers to trust people from his own country (newcomers, not those who have been in the wasteland for several years), since they share the same customs and beliefs, not for xenophobic reasons. There's a harsh treatment of slaves; there are even books on how to eat better or how to treat "two-legged sheep," all well-documented. Some might think it's excessive to write something like this, but in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, it would be the same or worse.
